In times of crisis and in times of peace, in times of struggle and in times of prosperity, it’s always important for believers to maintain in our hearts and minds an increasing passion for the glory of God.

Below are some Scriptures to meditate on that will help us grow in our passion for God’s glory.

2 Corinthans 4:6, For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

Hebrews 1:3, And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

John 1:14, And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Isaiah 60:19-21, No longer will you have the sun for light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give you light; but you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and your God for your glory. Your sun will no longer set, nor will your moon wane; for you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be over. Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.

2 Peter 1:17, For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased.”

Psalm 108:5, Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth.

Habakkuk 2:14, For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Revelation 21:23, And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Hebrews 2:9, But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

1 Peter 5:10, After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

Nehemiah 9:5, Then the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah, said, "Arise, bless the LORD your God forever and ever! O may Your glorious name be blessed And exalted above all blessing and praise!

Habakkuk 3:3, God comes from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. His splendor covers the heavens, and the earth is full of His praise.

Numbers 14:21, But indeed, as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the LORD.

1 Timothy 6:15-16, He (Jesus) who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

Exodus 33:18-19, Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!” And God said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.”

1 Thessalonians 2:12, So that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

Acts 7:55, But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
