1. BELT OF TRUTH
John 17:17, “Sanctify them in the truth; your Word is truth.”
Psalm 145:18, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”
John 4:24, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Heavenly Father, I take up the belt of truth by rejecting the lies about who You are and the nature of Your heart. Today, I choose to believe the truth that You are a loving, affectionate, and intimately involved Father. You are full of grace and mercy, and I can trust You to perfect in my life Your good, perfect, and acceptable will for me. Saturate me with Your truth and set me apart with Your truth.
2. BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
1 Corinthians 1:30, “But by the Father’s doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption.
Romans 1:17, “For in the Gospel the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘But the righteous man shall live by faith.’”
2 Corinthians 5:21, “God made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Lord Jesus, I confess and declare you to be my righteousness! My righteousness is not a set of rules that I obey nor is it a lifestyle that I maintain, but my righteousness is a Person—the Lord Jesus Christ! I worship You, my Righteousness!
3. SHOES OF GOSPEL-READINESS
Mark 10:45, “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Romans 5:8, “God shows us His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 6:23, “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
1 Timothy 1:15, “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.”
1 John 4:10, “In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
Revelation 5:9, “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to open its seals, for You were slain, and by Your blood You ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.”
Holy Spirit, saturate my soul with the Gospel, the message of Jesus Christ. I am willing and ready to be used by You however way you deem best. Fill my heart to overflowing with the theme of the Gospel, and make my tongue (my words) like the pen of a ready and prolific writer (Psalm 45:1).
4. SHIELD OF FAITH
John 7:38, “Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
1 John 5:5, “Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”
Luke 1:37, “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Matthew 21:22, “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
Father in heaven, I believe in Jesus and in the finished work of the Cross. I affirm with my words — my declarations and proclamations spoken out loud — that Jesus is the Lord of my life, and nothing can stop the will of God from being accomplished in my life. I believe that whatever obstacle or challenge comes my way, that my Jesus—my King and my God—is bigger and can and will overcome all impossibilities. And He will accomplish it for the glory of His name.
5. HELMET OF SALVATION
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.”
John 14:5, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
Lord Jesus, I proclaim you to be my salvation! My salvation is not something that I will ever earn or deserve, but it is your greatest gift to me. Therefore, I cherish Your salvation and treat You as the greatest treasure of my life. Thank You for leading me to the Father and for pouring out the Holy Spirit continuously in my life.
6. SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
Hebrews 4:12, “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Romans 10:8-10, “But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart — that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
Mark 11:23, “Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him.”
Note: make a commitment to declare verses in the Bible that are filled with the positive promises of God. Ideally, you should have a Word — a promise from the Bible — that you are declaring over every area of your life: your purpose, your ministry, your marriage, your children, your finances, your career, etc.
7. PRAYING AT ALL TIMES IN THE SPIRIT
Note: keep a prayer journal and write down who/what you are praying for. Pray in tongues as much as possible and make tongues the “undertone” of your day.
