As a community of Christ-glorifying worshippers, we sense the Holy Spirit ushering us into an exciting new day in God’s purposes. Our church’s history is rich and colourful, filled with highs and lows that have advanced the kingdom of heaven by God’s grace. We believe greater things are still to come, because the Great Commision and the perfect work of the Cross inspires us to “dream big” with the Holy Spirit. With our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus, we expect lasting fruit in and through the life of our church.

But our greatest joy will not be in what God accomplishes through us. Instead, we will find our significance before Jesus in the authenticy of extravagant worship. Our highest thrills and deepest fulfilment will always be in satisfying the longing in the Father’s heart for worshippers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Therefore, we sense in the Spirit a new name for a new day:

From “Maroondah City Church” to “Alabaster Church.”

In the Gospels, “alabaster” spoke of costly and extravagant worship which Jesus greatly honoured. By God’s grace, we seek to live out this glorious call and make it a reality in the life of our church.
